01. Acceptance

By using aivoicedetector.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. "You" means the person or organization using the service. "We" means aivoicedetector.com, registered in England and Wales.

02. The service

We provide an AI voice detector that analyzes uploaded audio and returns a probability that it was generated by a synthesis model. The service is provided through this website, a Chrome extension, and an API.

We retrain the model monthly. We publish our methodology. Verdicts are probabilistic, not definitive. We do not guarantee any specific outcome.

03. Your account

You may use the free tier without an account. Paid plans require an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

04. Acceptable use

You may use the service for any lawful purpose, including journalism, legal evidence, research, and personal use. You may not:

• Use the service to harass, defame, or threaten any person.
• Use the service to violate any law or regulation.
• Upload content you do not have the right to analyze.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the detection model.
• Resell access to the service without a written enterprise agreement.

05. Fees and refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as listed on the pricing page. You may cancel at any time. We refund the unused remainder of any annual plan, prorated to the day, within seven business days.

If we suspend or terminate your account for a violation of these terms, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid fees unless the violation involved fraud or abuse.

06. Your content

You retain all rights to the audio you upload. We do not claim ownership of your audio. We delete uploaded audio within 24 hours unless you save it to your dossier. Saved verdicts retain only a one-way audio fingerprint, never the audio file itself.

You grant us a limited license to process your audio for the sole purpose of returning a verdict. We do not use uploaded audio to train the model unless you opt in.

07. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, beyond those required by law in your jurisdiction. Verdicts are probabilistic estimates. We do not guarantee that any specific verdict is correct.

You agree that you are responsible for any decision you make based on a verdict. If you publish a story, file a legal brief, or make any other decision based on our output, you do so at your own risk.

08. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

09. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Prior versions are archived and linked from this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of London, United Kingdom.
