Deepfake voice detection.
Cloned and synthetic voices are convincing enough to fool the ear. Drop a recording in and get a citable verdict, with the generator named, in under half a second.
A voice deepfake, and why the ear fails
A voice deepfake is speech produced or cloned by a model such as ElevenLabs, Resemble, or PlayHT, often from seconds of sample audio. Current systems reproduce prosody and timbre well enough that listeners perform close to chance on clean clips. The reliable signal is acoustic: synthesis leaves artifacts in the spectrum, in breath and pause placement, and in phoneme transitions that a trained model reads even when a person hears nothing wrong. For the tells you can check by ear first, see AI voice vs human voice.
The audio, not the words
The detector analyzes the sound, not the script, so it works across languages and accents and on both cloned and stock voices. It names the generator where the signature is recognizable and returns an honest "unknown synthesis" when it cannot attribute the source. The method is retrained monthly and version-stamped on every verdict. See the full detection methodology.
Not a generic deepfake tool
We are voice and audio only. That is a deliberate scope: most deepfake tools are built for images or video and treat audio as a bolt-on. We name 24+ voice generators and report the evidence behind each verdict. We can read the audio track of a video, but we do not analyze the images, and we never claim a guaranteed 100% result.
Fraud, journalism, and evidence
Fraud teams screen flagged recordings for cloned-voice CEO and vishing attacks; see the fraud detection use case. Newsrooms verify audio before publishing, and investigators keep a citable verdict for a case file. Build it into your own workflow with the API, which returns the same JSON verdict with webhooks. For provenance beyond detection, content-authenticity standards like C2PA attach origin data to genuine media and complement a detector.
